Norman Public Schools is proud to announce that The Boeing Company has awarded a $125,000 grant to support the Oklahoma Aviation Academy (OAA), continuing a strong partnership dedicated to preparing the next generation of aerospace professionals.
Since 2022, Boeing has invested $450,000 to launch and help grow OAA from 97 students to nearly 300, with the first graduating class set for May 2026. The funding is part of Boeing’s State Advocacy and Global Engagement’s Our Future grant, which focuses on advancing STEM education and expanding access to high-demand career pathways.
The $125,000 grant will enhance all aspects of learning and student experiences at the Oklahoma Aviation Academy, a program that connects high school students with real-world education and career opportunities in the aerospace industry. Through hands-on projects, industry mentorship and innovative coursework, OAA students gain the skills and knowledge to pursue rewarding, cutting-edge careers in aviation, aerospace and engineering.
“We are incredibly grateful to Boeing for their continued partnership and generosity,” said Dr. Nick Migliorino, Superintendent of Norman Public Schools. “Their investment helps us inspire and equip students to become the next leaders and innovators in Oklahoma’s growing aerospace sector.”
Through this extended partnership, Norman Public Schools and Boeing will continue to build opportunities that bridge the gap between education and industry, empowering students to dream big and reach new heights.
“Boeing’s continued support makes it possible for our students to experience the world of aviation in ways that are both meaningful and transformative,” Director of the Oklahoma Aviation Academy Terry Adam said. “Their investment helps us connect students’ classroom learning with real-world experiences that spark passion and open doors to future careers.”
